Our Members Rocked 2022!!
MN BASS Nation members entered 475 creel surveys in 2022. This information will help the MN DNR monitor the health of Bass fisheries all over the state. Fisheries the DNR may not have time, staff or funding to otherwise monitor. Thank you for your participation!

Since 2003, Minnesota B.A.S.S. Nation bass clubs have provided the Minnesota DNR with bass creel survey data. Creel surveys provide valuable information such as:
Maximum size and mean weights, which are indicators of size structure and exploitation. Catch per effort, which are indicators of standing stock and abundance
Relationships to lake habitat condition, such as secchi disk, aquatic plants, shore land condition, and other physical, biological, and chemical descriptors
Angler effort and success rates, which are indicators of potential exploitation rates
